May 27: Memorial Day

May 29: Conversation with Dr. Opal Lee
Santa Fe Community Foundation hosts a conversation with social impact leader Dr. Opal Lee, known as the "Grandmother of Juneteenth," kicking off celebrations for Juneteenth and marking the SFCF’s new statewide endowment fund supporting Black New Mexicans.

May 30: Animal Meet and Greet
Bring your little ones to spend time with, and learn fun facts about, the Santa Fe Children’s Museum’s pets: a lizard, tortoise and corn snake. This is a weekly event held every Thursday at 12:30 p.m.

May 30: Taos Chamber Annual Meeting Mixer
The Sagebrush Inn is the venue for the Taos Chamber of Commerce annual mixer event, featuring business awards along with prizes, food, and happy hour. 

June 6: Mercado Southside
Head to the Fraternal Order of Police in Santa Fe for this bimonthly market showcasing more than 30 vendors of goods and services from the city’s southside. Hosted by the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Santa Fe Office of Economic Development and WESST.

June 10, 11: Project Y photographers talk and exhibit
The June 10 informal talk in the Bradbury Science Museum’s Periodic Table series looks at the photographers who worked on the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos. Laboratory researcher Madeline Whitacre provides insight into a new exhibit on the subject that opens at the Bradbury on June 11. 

June 11: Deadline for SFCC Machining program
Santa Fe Community College’s engineering machining technology program equips students with the machining tools and machine tool knowledge required to solve design-related problems. Students can apply for the LANL cohort which covers tuition, fees, books, and paid internship at the Laboratory, with potential conversion to full-time employment. The deadline for the LANL cohort is June 11.

June 26-27: Climate Security Symposium
Join the brightest minds in climate, energy and policy for a symposium on climate security from the Laboratory's Center for National Security and International Studies, in collaboration with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine.  Experts will tackle tough climate questions from a multidisciplinary perspective, live from Santa Fe, with a free virtual attendance option.
