Attendees can learn about aviation and aerospace at one of STEM Santa Fe’s Summer STEM Circles.

Long-time Laboratory partner STEM Santa Fe is offering a range of summer camps and STEM Circles in 2023 for rising middle school and high school students. Each affordable session lasts for a week, so parents and caregivers can sign their children up for one or more sessions based on their interests and schedule. Sessions cover everything from aviation and aerospace to laser harps, and from 3D printing to building a solar sun tracker. See information about Summer STEM Circles here.

RDC hits the road for business connectivity events

With help from Laboratory operator Triad, the Regional Development Corporation hosted two business connectivity events recently, aimed at providing information on the many free and low-cost resources available to help Northern New Mexico small business owners. Feb. 23 saw over 70 participants head to the Abiquiu Rural Event Center for the Rio Arriba County event, while the San Miguel County version took place at Luna Community College on March 22.

In addition to learning about the RDC’s offerings (including its micro-grant program), attendees heard about resources available from a range of organizations including the New Mexico Economic Development Department, the local U.S. Small Business Development Centers, WESST, HELP New Mexico, The Loan Fund, and the Laboratory’s Feynman Center for Innovation.
