Northern New Mexico Integrated Security LLC (N2MIS) was recently awarded a five-year contract to provide security services to Triad LLC, which operates Los Alamos National Laboratory on behalf of the National Nuclear Security Administration, an agency within the Department of Energy. N2MIS is a joint venture between the incumbent, Centerra Group LLC and Tsay Construction and Services LLC, which is a member of the Triad Pueblo Business Alliance.
“Triad is committed to developing business opportunities and close working relationships with our local pueblo corporation,” said Kelly Beierschmitt, deputy director for Operations at Los Alamos National Laboratory. “We welcome opportunities to engage the local workforce as we seek to fulfill our vital national security mission.”
The joint venture combines a highly experienced and qualified integrated team. It aligns critical skill sets with the best organizational fit, maximizes the reach-back capabilities of both companies, and provides additional economic opportunities for Native Americans that are consistent with U.S. government’s goals to support the Laboratory’s expanding mission through local recruitment. N2MIS will begin providing services on Oct. 1, 2022. The contract is for a five-year base period with two option years.
“We value the opportunity to work with Triad and Los Alamos National Laboratory to provide support in administrative activities, quality assurance and recruiting,” said Ron Lovato, chief executive officer of Tsay Construction & Services LLC, which is owned and operated by Ohkay Owingeh Tribe. “The joint venture will expand employment opportunities in Northern New Mexico and leverage the skills and abilities Tsay has to offer.”
The expanded relationship between the local Pueblo and the Laboratory will help to secure one of the most important national security facilities in our nation, according to Unica Viramontes, director of the Laboratory’s Defense Force.
“The security of Los Alamos National Laboratory is of vital importance to our nation,” Viramontes said. “We look forward to enhancing the capabilities of our protective force by leveraging the critical skill sets N2MIS will bring to the Laboratory.”
Constellis Corporation, parent company of Centerra Group LLC, provides end-to-end risk management and comprehensive security solutions to safeguard people and infrastructure globally.
“We are proud to partner with Tsay to continue our work supporting the U.S. government and the Department of Energy,” said Gerard “Jerry” Neville, president of North American Operations at Constellis. “Constellis companies have supported DOE for the past six decades, and we are excited to provide a highly-trained protective force at Los Alamos.”
“As a global leader providing high-end security services, N2MIS will be part of the Constellis enterprise that provides a full spectrum of turnkey security solutions to our customers,” said Terry Ryan, chief executive officer of Constellis. “We are honored Triad has given us the opportunity to secure their mission with the Department of Energy.”
